Serving vs Retired 2019

The first RAGS fixture of the season, Serving v Retired took place at Frilford Heath Golf Club on Thursday 4th  April 2019, with teams being led by Trevor Parks (Serving) and Tim Thornton (Retired). Several ‘new caps’ appeared in both teams, including Phil Sagar (S) and Dean Mitchinson (R). The weather was unkind wind, rain and very cold for the morning 4BBB matches and much of the same for the Greensomes matches in the afternoon.

The course however, was in excellent condition as always with the greens running true, something we always expect at Frilford.

Most of the matches throughout the day were close however, overall the Serving side came out on top with a significant win 8 1/2 – 1 1/2.

Better LUCK for 2020 goes to the Retired side.
