RAGS 2 – 3 RNGS

A great day of golf at Liphook GC versus the RNGS. It was a very close match, but this time it was the RN who came out just on top. It was particularly satisfying to meet some new RAGS faces, namely Andy Carter, Kippy Davis and Clive Hunt, all of whom were in winning games. I hope they can be persuaded to come again next year.

Liphook golf course was in near perfect condition, the match was played in glorious weather and the greens were lightening fast, catching out many of the players.

The RN match manager who happens to be RNGS secretary must be given credit for putting this match back on track, thanks to the RN members, who were determined to save it after some local difficulties with the previous MM.

Next year John Caiger has kindly agreed to take over from as MM.
