RAGS vs HAC 4 Oct 18

Result:  RAGS 4 1/2 – 1/2 HAC

A traffic accident near Guildford caused some players to arrive well over an hour late but the club accommodated delayed starts.  The weather was overcast but brightened later.  The course was in very good condition, particularly the greens which were fast and tricky to read.  The HAC, being one short, sent Richard Stubbs out to play against Chris Copeland and Tony Pratt in a 4-2-0 match.  RAGS won the game even though Richard was the only one who understood the rules!  The curry lunch and fruit crumble was much more appetising and filling than last year and the chefs were duly praised. 12 players felt able to play 9-hole Greensomes in the afternoon which rounded off an excellent day.
