Result: RAGS 4 – 6 St. George’s Hill

RAGS played St George’s Hill in the first of two legs which, this year, will both be played at St George’s Hill. Defeat from the jaws of victory – a comfortable 3 ½ – 1 ½ lead at lunch time, following the fourballs, became a 6 – 4 defeat with only one pair managing not to be beaten in the afternoon foursomes. A couple of spectacular turn arounds from as much as 4 or 5 down near the turn enabled St George’s Hill to maintain their reputation of lunching well – RAGS have a familiar looking deficit to overturn in the second leg.
