Result:  RAGS 7 – 5  RLC

The RA fielded a strong team for this fixture with most of the current Corps team involved. After some tight Fourball matches in the morning the halfway score was 2 points each. The RLC team fielded some very competitive mid to high handicap players who proved tough to beat.

The afternoon Singles were again very competitive but strong performances from Colin Welbourne, Mac McGovern, Dean Mitchinson, Dan Hunt and Eddie Grace was enough to get the 5 points needed to claim the trophy again for the fourth time in the last five years.

Frilford Heath presented 2 excellent courses in superb condition and with fantastic weather to match the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Another good result for the RA serving team, still unbeaten this season.

Secretary’s note:  It is worth recording for posterity that the RAGS Captain failed to win even half a point during the day!  His excuse – he wanted to see if the other members of the team would perform.
