Result:  RAGS 0  – 1up  RAOC

The format played was 4BBB HOLES UP at end of 18 holes.  This ensured that everyone was involved to the last hole.  It was a thoroughly enjoyable match. We all met for very good two course lunch and a good chance to get to know each other before the match.  The match itself was very close and the RAOC won on the last hole after four matches (One hole up) having taken two putts when RAGS took three! The day ended with sandwiches and a well-deserved beer.

This particular fixture was due to be axed but having put a strong case forward why it should be retained it was reprieved. In conversation with Alan Butterworth the RAOC captain we are both very keen that this event should continue.

Both sides agreed that it was refreshing to have a serving member playing (well done and thank you Graeme) and that it would benefit the fixture in the future if more of the serving community committed to the fixture.

Secretary Comment:  The serving community are requested to consider playing in this fixture in the future.
